BEHIND THE NAME... I chose the name "Black Diamond" because I am fascinated with the black colored horses. I find it some what rare to find a true black horse especially in the American Quarter Horse. Black is the color I would like to concentrate on breeding for, however, conformation, disposition and pedigree will be the top priority. The word "Diamond" comes from the diamond on Royal's (my stallion) head. So, him being all black in color with a diamond, I came up with the name Black Diamond Ranch. |
